Christmas Dinner
The Easy Way!
Traditionally our immediate family and extended family celebrate Christmas Eve together with around 25 relatives. It is usually late when we arrive home. Since we're tired and want to be rested for Christmas morning, I came up with a plan that makes Christmas day dinner easy.
The excitement of opening gifts and entertaining visitors on Christmas day makes this a one day I don't want to spend in the kitchen. Christmas dinner consists of an easy menu that can be prepared the day before, and with the limelight (of course!) on desserts.
Christmas Menu:
Fresh Turkey Breast or Turkey Roll (sliced and served as sandwiches)
Cranberry Jell-O Salad
Five Day Potatoes (Sour Cream Mashed Potatoes)
Stuffed Celery (half of stalks with with Peanut Butter, half with spreadable cheese)
Baby Carrots (fresh raw)
Peanut Butter Nerds
Fruit Cake
Fudge
Peppernut Cookies (variation 1 or 2)
